HAY FLOOR Is an ultra-matte mineral floor finish with a soft, cloudy appearance — inspired by modern microcement floors. Designed for interior use, it creates a seamless and contemporary look with subtle depth and texture.
HOW TO APPLY HAY FLOOR
System components
1. Ceramic Primer
2. Hay Floor (2 coats)
3. Hardmat 2K
Step 1 – Preparation
Clean and sand the floor to create a smooth, even and dust-free surface. On tiled floors, apply a levelling layer if needed to prevent joints from showing.
Step 2 – Prime
Apply 1 coat of Ceramic Primer with a roller.
Allow to dry completely.
Step 3 – Hay Floor
Dilute HAY Floor with 10% water before application.
Apply 2 coats using a block brush. Work with loose, varied strokes to create the subtle cloudy effect. Allow each coat to dry fully.
Step 4 – Sand
Once dry, sand lightly with P150 grit (rotary sander) for a smooth finish.
Step 5 – Finish
Apply Hardmat 2K evenly using a roller.
Allow to cure properly for a strong, wear-resistant matte protection.
