General information about paints
Happy Colors is a silicate wall paint with high scrub class 1. It has a matte finish and is highly suitable for humid areas or surfaces that are used intensively.
Mud is a mineral ultra-matte wall paint, 100% natural and breathable. The paint has high color durability thanks to the mineral pigments and does not require an additional topcoat, as it can be easily touched up without being visible. Mud is easy to clean but offers less scrub resistance than Happy Colors.
Our Happy Colors, Mud, and Lacquer paints are sprayable. For the correct ratio, we recommend referring to our technical data sheets.
A primer is recommended for untreated or highly absorbent surfaces, such as new plaster, wood, or metal. It ensures better adhesion and a more even finish.
We do not offer a finish specifically for wet rooms, such as showers or areas in direct contact with water. However, Hay, Happy Colors, and Lime Plaster are paints that can be applied in the bathroom due to their breathable properties and resistance to mold. These paints provide good protection in humid environments.
Usually, two coats are enough for full coverage. A third coat may be needed for a dark substrate or a significant color change.
This depends on the usage. For surfaces that get dirty quickly, such as kitchen backsplashes or doors, a topcoat can provide extra protection. Our mineral paints (Hay & Mud), on the other hand, are easy to touch up and usually do not require a topcoat.
